The front is expected to remain stationary, lingering across the
western Gulf Coast while lifting as a warm front from the Lower
Mississippi Valley into the Tennessee and Ohio Valley, moving
eastward on Sunday. Continued thunderstorm activity is expected
throughout Saturday. Expect 1-3 inches of additional rainfall,
with local amounts up to 5 inches, from Southeast Texas across the
Gulf Coast states into the Tennessee Valley by Saturday evening.
Flash flooding is possible within this region, especially with
saturated soils across portions of Texas, Louisiana, and
Mississippi. River flooding remains a concern through the
foreseeable future along the lower Mississippi River.

The next storm summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 400 PM CDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
