The low pressure system centered over northwestern Alabama will be
supported by a slow-moving upper-level low during the next few
days. This pattern will lead to a large area of long-duration
moderate to heavy rainfall slowly spreading eastward across the
Southeast and into the Mid-Atlantic states during the next few
days. Highest additional rainfall totals through Tuesday morning
are expected to be over 5 inches, with locally greater amounts,
along the eastern slopes of the southern Appalachians.
Additionally, 2-3 inches of rain is expected across Florida.

The next storm summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 PM CDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
