This surface low is expected to continue propagating northeastward
across Louisiana this morning and into central Mississippi this
afternoon. Rain should spread out ahead of the system across the
Southeast with an additional 1 to 3 inches likely along the Gulf
Coast from Louisiana to Mississippi, and locally higher amounts
potentially reaching 5 inches along the Gulf Coast from Alabama to
western Florida. A widespread 2 to 4 inches of rainfall is likely
elsewhere from the Southern Appalachians and Southeast through
early next week as the system very slowly moves eastward. Total
amounts of 5 to 7 inches will be possible across the western
Carolinas and southern Appalachians.

The next storm summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 AM CDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
