...Tropical storm force winds and moderate to heavy rain spread
over the central Gulf Coast...

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for much of the Central Gulf
Coast from western Louisiana into the Florida Panhandle.

Storm Surge Watches and Warnings are in effect for the southeast
Louisiana Gulf Coast.

Flood and Flash Flood Warnings are in effect for much of the Lower
Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys.

At 300 PM CDT...National Weather Service radars, satellite and
surface observations indicated moderate to heavy rainfall bands
extending from eastern Louisiana up through the central Gulf Coast
and into Alabama. Strong winds were also observed along the
Central Gulf Coast on the right quadrant of the storm. Below are
preliminary rainfall and wind observations associated with Barry.
