The low pressure system is forecast to track east across the
north-central Rockies through Sunday night and Monday. Snow will
continue to fall heavily at times, with an emphasis on portions of
eastern Washington, northern Idaho, and central to western
Montana. An additional 1 to 2 feet of snow is expected to fall
over areas of western Montana through early Monday, with locally
higher amounts in excess of 3 feet over the highest elevations.
Over northern Idaho, another 6 to 12 inches of snow is expected to
accumulate through early Monday. Parts of the Cascades will also
receive an additional 5 to 10 inches of snow while portions of the
northern Sierra Nevada will pick up several inches on average with
locally higher amounts possible. Strong winds will result in poor
visibility with blowing snow and drifting snow.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 900 AM MDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
