This storm system is forecast to track east across the
North-central Rockies through Sunday night and into the Northern
High Plains on Monday. Snow will continue to fall heavily at
times, with an emphasis on the mountainous terrain of eastern
Washington, northern Idaho, and central to western Montana. An
additional 12-18 inches of snow is expected to fall over areas of
western Montana through early Monday, with locally higher amounts
of 2 feet over the highest elevations. Over northern Idaho,
another 3-6 inches of snow is expected to accumulate through early
Monday with locally higher amounts possible. Parts of the Cascades
and northern Sierra Nevada will also receive an additional 2-4
inches of snow with locally higher amounts possible. Strong winds
will result in poor visibility with blowing snow and drifting snow.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 300 PM MDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
