300 AM MDT Mon Sep 30 2019
...Snow beginning to taper off across the northern Rockies and
northern High Plains...
A Blizzard Warning is in effect for a part of northwest Montana.
Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories remain in

At 200 AM MDT...A strong upper-level low positioned over the
Northwest U.S. continues to focus multiple waves of surface low
pressure across a large area of the Great Basin and central
Rockies. Meanwhile, an unusually cold airmass for late September
remains in place across the northern Rockies, northern Great
Basin, and northern High Plains. The latest surface observations
and National Weather Service radar show the snowfall tapering down
across the northern Rockies and northern High Plains, but some
light snow is still falling over portions of northwest Montana and
northern Idaho. Light snow is also seen falling across portions of
the northern Sierra-Nevada.

A surface low pressure system will consolidate over the northern
Plains this morning and begin to pull away from the region, while
the deep upper-level low over the Northwest only very slowly moves
off to the east over the next couple of days. Some snow showers
associated with the upper-level low may generate locally a few
more inches of accumulation across the higher terrain of the
northern Rockies and northern Sierra-Nevada today through Tuesday,
but otherwise the snow is expected to taper off and come to an end.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 900 AM MDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
