Northeast...

for much of the Great Lakes and interior Northeast.

At 200 AM CDT...National Weather Service radars and surface
observations showed a surface low with an estimated minimum
central pressure of 1005 mb moving through eastern Pennsylvania
with an associated cold front extending to the south across the
Mid-Atlantic, Tennessee Valley, Southeast and into the Gulf of
Mexico. A warm front extended to the northeast into New England
and the Atlantic. Moderate to heavy snowfall was identified on the
northwest side of the storm over much of the interior Northeast
and Lower Great Lakes, while lighter snow bands linger over the
Upper Great Lakes area.

The low pressure system will continue propagating north and
eastward on Tuesday before pushing off into the Canadian maritime
by Tuesday evening. Additional snow totals of 2-4 inches are
possible for parts of the interior Northeast and Lower Great Lakes
with locally higher amounts through Tuesday. Parts of the Upper
Great Lakes may see totals reaching a foot through Wednesday
morning due to lake effect enhancement.
