The low center will continue to lift towards the northeast through
Sunday, reaching the Upper Great Lakes region by early Monday.
Moderate to heavy snow will become more widespread throughout the
day on Sunday from Nebraska to the Upper Mississippi Valley and
Great Lakes. Storm total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches,
with locally higher amounts, are possible. In addition to wintry
precipitation, gusty winds of 30 to 40 mph are likely across the
Plains and Upper Midwest, which will result in areas of blowing
and drifting snow and hazardous travel conditions. As the system
moves eastward into Monday, potentially significant snow and ice
will develop across portions of New England. Snow accumulations of
6 to 8 inches are expected, with ice accumulations in excess of a
quarter of an inch, especially in the higher elevations of Upstate
New York. To the south, heavy rainfall is likely from Mississippi
Valley to the Ohio Valley on Sunday, moving into the Northeast on
Monday, with flooding and flash flooding possible.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 900 AM CST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
