The low pressure center over Ohio is forecast to remain strong and
move northeast towards Upstate New York by Sunday morning. A band
of heavy rain and strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible
from the Florida Panhandle region to the Mid-Atlantic through
tonight, and another area of moderate to heavy rain extending from
Ohio to the Northeast U.S. Meanwhile, on the cold side of the
system, moderate to heavy snow is expected to continue through
tonight from southern Wisconsin to northern Michigan with several
additional inches of accumulation likely. A corridor of mixed
precipitation, including significant freezing rain accumulations
will be a major concern across central and southern Michigan, as
well as far northern New England and Upstate New York with the
potential for greater than a half inch of ice accretion for some
areas. This may cause tree damage and power disruptions. The
storm is forecast to exit northern New England by Sunday night.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 300 AM CST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
