The low pressure center over the Lower Great Lakes is forecast to
maintain strength and race northeast off the coast of Maine by
this afternoon. Light snow and freezing rain is expected to
continue through the early morning across the Great Lakes.
Meanwhile, moderate to locally heavy snow/wintry mix is possible
along the U.S.-Canada border from New York to Vermont, as well as
much of Maine. A corridor of freezing rain will be a concern
across this region, with the potential for greater than a quarter
inch of ice accretion for some areas. Heavy snow from this system
is most likely to impact northern Maine, where greater than 6
inches of snow is forecast. The storm is forecast to exit northern
New England by tonight.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 AM EST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
