...Snow and freezing rain move eastward into the Great Lakes in
coverage across the Midwest with rain from Texas to southern
Missouri...
Blizzard warnings are in effect from northwestern Iowa to eastern
North Dakota.
Winter storm warning are in effect for much of the Upper
Mississippi Valley and Upper Great Lakes, eastern Iowa and
portions of upstate New York and Central New England.
Winter weather advisory are in effct for North-Central North
Dakota, Upper Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, into Vermont,and central
Appalachians.
High wind warnings are in effect for the Front Range of the
central Rockies, and for portions of the Dakotas and central
Nebraska.

At 300 AM EST...A large winter storm is continuing to get better
organized across the Upper Midwest in response to a vigorous upper
level trough. Regional Doppler radars continue to indicate
numerous showers from east Texas to eastern Oklahoma and into
Lower Mississippi Valley and the Ohio Valley. A zone of freezing
rain and sleet is observed ongoing across northern Illinois into
central Indiana and southwestern Ohio. Snow is being observed
ongoing across parts of the Northern/Central Plains into the Upper
Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes and parts of far northern
Ohio Valley and eastern Ohio Valley. Windy conditions exist from
the Front Range of the Rockies to the Northern/Central Plains with
winds gusting in excess of 35 mph.

The low pressure over the Northern/Central Plains is forecast to
move eastward to New England by Sunday morning then out over the
Western Atlantic by Sunday evening. Snow will develop over Upper
Great Lakes into New England with snowfall amounts of 8 inches
with locally higher amounts possible. Freezing rain is also
expected the Ohio Valley and central Appalachians, and northern
Mid-Atlantic with up to one tenths of an inch of ice accretion
possible for portions the central Appalachians.
