The primary surface low will move to the northeast off the coast
of the Eastern Seaboard through Friday evening. The secondary low
will move eastward across southern Georgia and to the north off
the coast of the Carolinas. The warm front will lift northward
through Thursday evening before pushing east as a cold front as
colder air reinforces both this cold front and the trailing cold
front over the Gulf of Mexico. This extended cold front will move
east over the Florida Peninsula and off the Eastern Seaboard
through the day Friday. Snow will continue over the Ohio Valley,
eastern Great Lakes, and northern Mid-Atlantic throughout the day
Thursday and begin to overspread southern New England by Thursday
afternoon. The snow will begin to taper off over the lower Ohio
Valley early Friday morning as it continues through the northern
Mid-Atlantic and further north into New England. A wintry mix of
snow, sleet, and freezing rain will continue over the Mid-Atlantic
through Thursday night before transitioning to mostly snow Friday
morning. The snow will linger through Friday evening before slowly
tapering off throughout the day on Saturday. The snow and wintry
mix extending from the lower Mississippi Valley southwest into
southwest Texas will continue into Thursday afternoon and taper
off by Thursday evening, first over the lower Mississippi Valley
and later over southwest Texas.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 AM EST Fri Feb 19 2021. Please refer to your local
National Weather Service office for additional information on this
