...Snowfall continues to taper off over the Red River Valley as
the storm system moves northeast into Canada...
Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for portions of
northeastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota.

At 900 PM CDT...A low pressure center with a minimum central
pressure of 999 mb, or 29.5 inches of mercury, was located over
southwestern Quebec Province, Canada. An occluded front extended a
short distance east to a secondary low pressure center with a
trailing cold front to the southwest through the Great Lakes,
Midwest, and into the Southern Plains. National Weather Service
Doppler Radar indicated light snowfall over the Red River Valley
in the Northern Plains. Surface observations showed moderately
strong winds were still occurring over portions of the Northern
Plains and the Upper Midwest, with sustained winds between 25 and
35 mph and gusts of up to near 50 mph. The highest winds were
similarly located over the Red River Valley.

Snowfall will continue to taper off through the late evening and
overnight hours over the Red River Valley as the low pressure
center moves further northeast into Canada. Limited additional
accumulations are expected. Wind gusts between 35-45 mph will
continue to lead to some blowing snow through the overnight hours.
