Storm Summary Number 02 for Heavy Rainfall associated with
Potential Tropical Cyclone One

...Heavy rainbands moving farther east across southern Florida
toward the eastern shores as the center of Potential Tropical
Cyclone One makes landfall over southwestern Florida...

Tropical Storm Warning is in effect along portions the west coast
of Florida through the Florida Keys including the Dry Tortugas and
along portions of the east coast of Florida.

At 1000 AM EDT...the elongated and ill-defined center of Potential
Tropical Cyclone One was located over southwestern Florida near
26.5N, 81.4W, with an estimated sea-level pressure of 1002 mb
(29.59 in/Hg).  National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
that bands of heavy showers and thunderstorms were organized
around the eastern to southern portions of the circulation of the
cyclone.  These rainbands were moving across southern Florida as
well as rotating through the eastern shores.  Strong gusty winds
were mainly found near or off the coast as well as along the Keys.

The poorly-defined center of Potential Tropical Cyclone One is
forecast to move cross southern Florida today and then move off to
the east of Florida by this evening.  Impactful heavy rain is
forecast to move off to the east of Florida by this evening. 
Storm total rainfall of 6 to 10 inches with isolated maxima of 15
inches is forecast for South Florida where considerable flash and
urban flooding is expected.  Storm total of 4 to 8 inches with
isolated maxima of 10 inches is forecast for Florida Keys where
flash and urban flooding is possible.
