At 800 PM CST...A low pressure center was analyzed in central
Wisconsin with a minimum pressure of 1005 mb (29.67 in Hg). An
occluded front extended to the east-southeast to a triple point
over Lake Erie. From the triple point, a cold front extended
southward through Pennsyvlania and east of the Appalachians into
the Southeast while a stationary front extended to the
east-northeast across the Northeast. Latest RADAR and surface
observations indicated snow had begun to lighten across the Upper
Midwest, with isolated bands producing moderate snowfall in
Minnesota and northern Wisconsin.

Snow will continue to remain rather light throughout the Midwest
through the evening as the low-pressure center becomes stationary
and continues to weaken, with additional snowfall of 1-2 inches
across much of the region, and higher amounts of 2-4 inches
possible in the Upper Peninsula and northern Michigan. On
Thursday, much of the snow and freezing rain across the Upper
Midwest will taper off.
