At 900 PM EST...A low pressure center with a minimum central
pressure of 998 mb, or 29.47 inches of mercury, was located about
50 miles northeast of Louisville, KY. A cold front extended to the
northeast to an additional area of low pressure, with a minimum

continuing to the Canadian border in far northern Upstate New
York. The cold front also extended to the southwest through the

and 30s behind the front across the Lower Great Lakes. A broad
area of snowfall continued over the Lower Great Lakes to the
northwest of the cold front, with a wintry mix of sleet and
freezing rain occurring in the transition zone along and just
behind the front from western New York southwest to central Ohio.
In the warm sector ahead of the front, widespread heavy rainfall
continued from the Interior Northeast southwest through the Lower

The cold front will move to the east through tomorrow morning,
eventually moving off the East Coast by early tomorrow afternoon.
Snowfall will continue to taper off for western portions of the
Lower Great Lakes while beginning to expand further into the
Interior Northeast as the cold front pushes east. A band of
heavier snowfall totals, as high as 6-8 inches, is forecast
through tomorrow morning from central Indiana northeast to
southeastern Michigan. In the Interior Northeast, the heaviest
snow should be limited to far northern Upstate New York and
northern Maine, where 8-12 inches of snow is possible. The shores
of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario may see between 4-6 inches, with
snowfall totals decreasing rapidly outside these areas. In the
warm sector ahead of the front, a Slight Risk of Excessive
rainfall remains in effect for portions of the Upper Ohio Valley
and Interior Northeast, where additional rainfall may lead to some
instances of flooding, particularly where heavier rain totals have
already occurred.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 AM EST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
