This system will continue to move northeast across the Upper
Midwest through Tuesday. Snow and strong, gusty winds will
continue from the Central Plains to northern Minnesota through
tonight, along with sleet and freezing rain in parts of the Upper
Mississippi Valley. Blowing and falling snow will significantly
reduce visibility, and blizzard conditions will be possible into
Tuesday across portions of the Plains and Minnesota. Travel may be
very difficult to impossible at times, and power outages and tree
damage are possible. Snow and winds will gradually diminish from
southwest to northeast across the region on Tuesday, but areas of
blowing snow may persist. Isolated severe thunderstorms will also
be possible in the warm sector of the system across the Midwest
and southern Great Lakes where the Storm Prediction Center has
highlighted a Marginal Risk of severe thunderstorms on Tuesday.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 AM CDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
