The main surface low will is forecast to continue moving northeast
into southern Canada, and the trailing cold front will push east
towards the East Coast on Wednesday. Some snow showers may linger
over portions of the Upper Midwest through Wednesday with
additional snow accumulation of 1-4 inches possible in parts of
northern Minnesota and the Michigan Upper Peninsula. Lake effect
enhancement may result in locally higher snow amounts. Gusty winds
may lead to areas of blowing snow, even for areas where snowfall
has already come to an end. Rain showers and thunderstorms in the
warm sector to the east of the system will progress east ahead of
the cold front, spreading across the East Coast Wednesday into
Thursday.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 AM CDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
