An expected uptick in storm activity overnight is likely to bring
another round of flash flooding to parts of Iowa and Illinois. A
Moderate Risk Excessive Rainfall Outlook is in effect because of
the high likelihood of flash flooding. The cluster of storms that
form overnight will then traverse eastward across Indiana and Ohio
tomorrow with additional thunderstorm development possible in the
afternoon. A Moderate Risk Excessive Rainfall Outlook is in the
forecast for eastern Indiana into Ohio with high confidence that
flash flooding will be a concern as a result of water runoff due
to saturated soils and high creeks and rivers. Furthermore,
training storms will be a possibility with storm motions parallel
to the frontal boundary in the area. On Sunday, the greatest
chances of flash flooding will shift east towards the Appalachians
and Mid-Atlantic.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1100 AM EDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
