Locally heavy rainfall is likely to continue through today across
Washington State, Idaho, and western Montana. Moisture with the
atmospheric river will continue to promote chances for flooding,
especially in upslope mountain ranges of the Olympics and Cascades
where several more inches of rain are possible today. The mountain
ranges in Idaho and western Montana may see another 2-3 inches of
rainfall with locally higher amounts possible as rain is likely to
continue through Friday in this region. Significant river flooding
is ongoing and will be a hazard as water levels crest well above
flood stage, even into record stage, across the Pacific Northwest
and Intermountain-West. The atmospheric river should begin to
weaken today across Washington and by Friday for Idaho and
Montana.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 700 PM PST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
