...The heavy rain threat is shifting into the Mid-Atlantic
tonight...

Scattered Flood Warnings are in effect from the Texas Gulf Coast
through the Lower Mississippi Valley.

Flood Watches are in effect for parts of the Southeast and
Mid-Atlantic.

At 800 PM CST...The low pressure center was located over southern
Kentucky with a minimum central pressure of 1006 mb (29.71 in Hg).
A cold front extended to the south across Tennessee, Alabama, and
the Florida panhandle while a stationary front extended to the
southeast across the Carolinas. National Weather Service radar
showed a couple lines of showers ahead of the cold front in the
Southeast and steadier light to moderate rainfall across the
Mid-Atlantic region. Dry conditions have finally returned to the
Lower Mississippi Valley.

The low pressure system is forecast to continue moving northeast
across the Mid-Atlantic region on Sunday and move offshore into
the Atlantic Sunday night into Monday. The heavy rainfall threat
has ended for the Lower Mississippi Valley, but heavy rainfall
will remain possible for the Carolinas and Mid-Atlantic through
Sunday. Isolated to potentially scattered instances of flash
flooding will be possible tonight. The threat of flash flooding
will be considerably lower on Sunday.
