100 PM EDT TUE JUL 22 1997
AT 1PM EDT TUESDAY AFTERNOON...THE WEAKENING CIRCULATION OF
TROPICAL DEPRESSION DANNY WAS LOCATED NEAR BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA.

INDICATES PERSISTENT RAINFALL IN CENTRAL ALABAMA NEAR THE CENTER OF
CIRCULATION. STRONG THUNDERSTORMS HAVE ALSO DEVELOPED EAST OF THE

TODAY HAVE BEEN LESS THAN IN RECENT DAYS. HOWEVER...RAINFALL RATES
OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR HAVE BEEN OBSERVED THIS MORNING IN
WASHINGTON COUNTY IN THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE.
THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF THE DEPRESSION WILL CONTINUE TO CREATE THE

RAIN IS EXPECTED ALONG THE TRACK OF THE SYSTEM FROM CENTRAL
ALABAMA TO NORTHERN GEORGIA BY WEDNESDAY MORNING. RAIN FROM THE
DEPRESSION WILL REACH THE WESTERN CAROLINAS WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL TOTALS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE
