Tropical Storm Charlie - September 21-24, 1952
A tropical wave moved through the eastern Caribbean, and developed into a tropical depression 
southeast of Puerto Rico. Strengthening into a tropical storm, its center moved northwest across
the Dominican Republic into the southeast Bahamas, developing into a hurricane on the 25th east
of the central Bahamas. Its peak intensity was reached across the western subtropical Atlantic, where
it became a major hurricane. The tropical cyclone continued to recurve, moving northwest of Bermuda
on the 28th. The storm total rainfall maps below were constructed using data from data archived at
