A tropical depression formed in the northeast Gulf of Mexico, moving
into the Mouth of the Mississippi
at the end of the month. The system slowly tracked through
Louisiana and Arkansas over the next couple
days, dropping heavy rains primarily to the right of its track across
southern Alabama and the western
Florida panhandle. Below are
the storm total rainfall maps for the depression, using data provided
by the
National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, North Carolina.
