Tropical Depression Ten - October 8-13, 1976

A tropical depression formed midway between African and the Lesser Antilles on October 3rd.  The system moved
westward, varying in intensity over the next several days.  It passed through the Lesser Antilles during the night of
the 6th, and began to gain latitude after passing to the south of Puerto Rico.  The depression turned northward,
moving into the Dominican Republic before dissipating.  The storm total precipitation maps for the depression are
shown below, using data supplied by the National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, North Carolina.
