NORTHWEST...NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND THE NORTHERN GREAT BASIN...
ANOTHER POTENT AND MOISTURE LADEN PACIFIC WEATHER SYSTEM IS
CURRENTLY MOVING ACROSS THE NORTHWESTERN U.S. WITH LOCAL RADARS
AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATING THAT SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION
IS NOW FALLING ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST...NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA AND THE NORTHERN GREAT BASIN.
FLOOD WATCHES AND WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR MOST OF WESTERN
OREGON...INCLUDING THE CASCADES...AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. A
FLASH FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN POSTED FOR PORTIONS OF VENTURA AND LOS
ANGELES COUNTY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. SNOW ADVISORIES HAVE BEEN
POSTED FOR THE WESTERN SLOPES AND PASSES OF THE CENTRAL AND
SOUTHERN WASHINGTON CASCADES. SNOW ADVISORIES ARE ALSO IN EFFECT
FOR SISKIYOU COUNTY IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND EASTERN KLAMATH AND
WESTERN LAKE COUNTIES OF SOUTHERN OREGON...AS WELL AS THE
CLEARWATER MOUNTAINS AND LEHMI COUNTY OF EASTERN IDAHO AND FOR
NORTHERN ELKO COUNTY IN NEVADA. HEAVY SNOW WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT
FOR THE CASCADES AND NORTHEAST MOUNTAINS OF WASHINGTON. IN
IDAHO...HEAVY SNOW WARNINGS HAVE BEEN POSTED FROM THE WEST CENTRAL
TO THE SAWTOOTH MOUNTAINS AND FROM THE UPPER SNAKE HIGHLANDS TO
THE WASATCH...THE SOUTHWEST HIGHLANDS AND THE NORTHERN PANHANDLE.
ACROSS OREGON...HEAVY SNOW WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FROM THE
OCHOCO-JOHN DAY HIGHLANDS TO WALLOWA AND BAKER COUNTIES. A WINTER
STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE SIERRA NEVADA RANGE.
THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL THROUGH SATURDAY SHOULD FALL ACROSS
NORTHWEST CALIFORNIA...EXTREME SOUTHWEST OREGON AND THE NORTHERN
AND CENTRAL SIERRA. THE CASCADES AND HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE
NORTHERN AND CENTRAL SIERRA SHOULD SEE HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS.
