...CLIPPER SYSTEM RESPONSIBLE FOR SNOW FROM NORTH DAKOTA TO
CHICAGO...

A FAST-MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM HAS BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR AS MUCH
AS 9 INCHES OF SNOW.  SNOW ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT FOR AN AREA
EXTENDING FROM MINNESOTA SOUTHEASTWARD TOWARD NORTHERN
ILLINOIS...INDIANA...SOUTHERN OHIO...WEST VIRGINIA AND
NORTHWESTERN VIRGINIA.  LAKE-EFFECT SNOW BANDS ARE ENHANCING
SNOWFALL NEAR DULUTH MN...GREEN BAY WI...AND MILWAUKEE WI.

LOW PRESSURE OVER IOWA AT 8 PM WILL DROP SOUTHEASTWARD AND BE
LOCATED NEAR THE OHIO RIVER BY WEDNESDAY MORNING.  A BAND OF SNOW
WILL ALSO TRACK SOUTHEASTWARD TO THE NORTH AND EAST OF THE LOW. 
BY WEDNESDAY MORNING...THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL BE FOUND ACROSS THE
OHIO VALLEY FROM INDIANA AND OHIO INTO SOUTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA AND
WEST VIRGINIA.

AT 800 PM CST...RADAR AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS SHOW THAT THE SNOW
EXTENDS FROM MINNESOTA TO NORTHEAST IOWA...CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN
WISCONSIN...NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND INDIANA. MOST OF THE SNOW IS OF
LIGHT TO MODERATE INTENSITY.

WHILE THIS IS NOT A MAJOR SNOWSTORM...CLIPPERS SUCH AS THIS ARE
KNOWN TO PRODUCE NARROW BANDS OF HEAVY SNOW...AND THIS HAS SO FAR
BEEN THE CASE IN NORTH DAKOTA AND MINNESOTA.  SNOW WILL DEVELOP
OVERNIGHT ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN OHIO...SOUTHWEST
PENNSYLVANIA...AND WEST VIRGINIA.  

AS THE LOW TRACKS EASTWARD ON WEDNESDAY TOWARD WEST VIRGINIA AND
VIRGINIA...A NEW LOW WILL DEVELOP EAST OF THE VIRGINIA...NORTH
CAROLINA COAST AND THEN MOVE EAST-NORTHEASTWARD.  SOME SNOW IS
LIKELY ON WEDNESDAY FROM CENTRAL AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA TO THE
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA...MARYLAND...DELAWARE...SOUTHERN
PENNSYLVANIA...AND NEW JERSEY.  ALL SNOW SHOULD END BY WEDNESDAY
NIGHT.
