THE SURFACE LOW OVER WESTERN IOWA WILL TRACK NORTHEASTWARD OVER
THE UPPER MIDWEST...CAUSING THE HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG WINDS TO
CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL TOTALS OF 6
TO 12 INCHES ARE EXPECTED FROM THE NORTHERN ROCKIES TO THE
NORTHERN PLAINS...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. THE
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL CREATE HAZARDS TRAVEL CONDITIONS
ACROSS THE REGION. MEANWHILE...THE SYSTEM CURRENTLY OVER THE
CENTRAL/SOUTHERN ROCKIES WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH SOUTHEASTWARD
TOWARDS TEXAS THURSDAY EVENING..ALLOWING THE SNOW SHOWERS TO TAPER
OFF AS IT EXITS THE REGION.
THE NEXT STORM SUMMARY WILL BE ISSUED BY THE HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL
PREDICTION CENTER AT 900 PM CST. PLEASE REFER TO YOUR LOCAL
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS
