THE SURFACE LOW OVER MINNESOTA IS EXPECTED TO DEEPEN AND TRACK
NORTHWARD FRIDAY EVENING AND THEN NORTHEASTWARD TOWARDS THE
CANADIAN BORDER FRIDAY NIGHT...ALLOWING THE HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG
WINDS TO CONTINUE FOR PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN PLAINS AND UPPER
MIDWEST THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. WIDESPREAD ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL
AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 10 INCHES ARE EXPECTED BY THE END OF THIS
EVENT...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. IN
ADDITION...BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGION. BY SATURDAY EVENING...THE LOW WILL
BE WELL INTO ONTARIO AND THE SNOW SHOULD COME TO AN END ACROSS THE
AREA.
THE NEXT STORM SUMMARY WILL BE ISSUED BY THE HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL
PREDICTION CENTER AT 900 PM CST. PLEASE REFER TO YOUR LOCAL
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS
EVENT.
