AS MOISTURE FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO IS LIFTED AHEAD OF A WEAKENING
UPPER LEVEL TROUGH...NEW AREAS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO FORM OVER THE SOUTHEASTERN U.S. TODAY. AN ADDITIONAL 1
TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH TUESDAY
NIGHT...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. THE HIGHEST
POTENTIAL FOR ADDITIONAL FLOODING TODAY IS EXPECTED TO BE ACROSS
FROM SOUTHERN ALABAMA AND THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE TO SOUTHWESTERN
GEORGIA. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN A
POSSIBILITY ACROSS THE GULF COAST THROUGH THE WEEK AS A FRONTAL
BOUNDARY APPROACHES AND BECOMES STATIONARY ALONG THE GULF COAST.
