THE BOUNDARY ACROSS THE CENTRAL U.S. IS EXPECTED TO PUSH VERY
SLOWLY EASTWARD THROUGH MONDAY. THIS...COMBINED WITH THE UPPER
LEVEL LOW...WILL CONTINUE TO STREAM PLENTY OF MOISTURE INTO THE
REGION AND FUEL HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS MUCH OF THE PLAINS STATES
AND INTO THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY. AS MUCH AS 5 TO 10 INCHES OF
RAIN...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS...IS POSSIBLE ACROSS MUCH OF
EASTERN TEXAS THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. FARTHER NORTH...2 TO 3
INCHES OF RAIN IS EXPECTED IN EASTERN OKLAHOMA WITH UP TO 2 INCHES
EXPECTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PLAINS AS
WELL AS INTO THE MIDDLE AND LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY. GIVEN THE
HEAVY RAINFALL IMPACTING THESE REGIONS FOR SEVERAL DAYS
ALREADY...FLASH FLOODING WILL REMAIN A SIGNIFICANT THREAT ACROSS
EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHERN PLAINS...ESPECIALLY FOR PARTS OF
THE SOUTHEAST TEXAS.
THE NEXT STORM SUMMARY WILL BE ISSUED BY THE WEATHER PREDICTION
CENTER AT 400 AM CDT. PLEASE REFER TO YOUR LOCAL NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE OFFICE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS EVENT.
