THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO CONTINUE MOVING ACROSS THE
MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY TODAY AND INTO THE UPPER GREAT LAKES BY
TUESDAY. AS THE LOW MOVES NORTHEAST ALONG THE QUASI-STATIONARY
FRONTAL BOUNDARY...THE MAIN RISK OF HEAVY RAINFALL WILL SHIFT TO
THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI AND OHIO VALLEYS AND INTO THE UPPER GREAT
LAKES. THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...WIDESPREAD RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2
TO 4 INCHES ARE EXPECTED THERE...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS
POSSIBLE. ADDITIONALLY...ABUNDANT TROPICAL MOISTURE WILL REMAIN IN
TEXAS AND THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY WHICH COULD LEAD TO ANOTHER
2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN OVER SOME LOCATIONS WHERE SOILS ARE
SATURATED OR FLOODING HAS OCCURRED. DUE TO THE ALREADY RAIN SOAKED
SOILS...EVEN WITH THE LIGHTER RAINFALL AMOUNTS...FLASH FLOODING
STILL REMAINS A CONCERN.
THE NEXT STORM SUMMARY WILL BE ISSUED BY THE WEATHER PREDICTION
CENTER AT 400 PM CDT. PLEASE REFER TO YOUR LOCAL NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE OFFICE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS EVENT.
