AT 6:00 P.M. EDT THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION GEORGES WAS
LOCATED ALONG THE FLORIDA-GEORGIA BORDER, JUST NORTH OF
TALLAHASSEE. WINDS WERE BLOWING AT 10-20 MPH AROUND THE SYSTEM AND
THE CENTRAL PRESSURE WAS 1004 MB. GEORGES CONTINUES TO SHOW
SEPARATION BETWEEN THE SURFACE LOW AND THE UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM.
ALSO, THE DEEP MOISTURE AND HEAVY RAINS HAVE MOVED WELL EAST OF THE
SURFACE CENTER AND IS NOW ALONG THE SOUTHEAST GEORGIA AND
NORTHEAST FLORIDA COASTS. THE UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM AND HEAVY RAINS
WILL MOVE INTO THE ATLANTIC LATER TONIGHT, WHILE THE SURFACE SYSTEM
DRIFTS SLOWLY EAST ALONG THE GEORGIA/FLORIDA BORDER.
A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8:00 P.M. EDT OVER MUCH OF COASTAL
GEORGIA AND NORTHEAST FLORIDA. A FLOOD WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT OVER
NORTHEAST FLORIDA INTO TONIGHT. LATEST RADARS FROM THE REGION SHOW
THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN OVER SOUTHEASTERN GEORGIA AND
NORTHEAST FLORIDA. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO THE ATLANTIC
LATER TONIGHT.
