About

Welcome to the Probabilistic Precipitation Portal, a resource provided by the National Weather Service (NWS) to communicate the range and probability of possible precipitation amounts over the next 72 hours (3 days).

Data on this page are based on the NWS National Blend of Models (NBM), a combination of various numerical weather prediction models that create a skillful and consistent starting point for weather forecasts. National Weather Service forecasters provide the offical NWS forecast, shown on this page as the "Expected Amount", and the remaining probabilities come from the NBM. In the case that NBM probabilities are inconsistent with the "Expected Amount", the probabilities are adjusted to ensure a they align with the offical NWS forecast.

This page updates each hour, typically by 20 minutes past the hour.
