...Rainfall rates finally beginning to decrease as the remnants of
Imelda slowly lift northward...

Flash Flood Watches are in effect for portions of southeast Texas
and southwest Louisiana. Aerial Flood Warnings are in effect from
the Houston metro area to far southwest Louisiana.

At 400 AM CDT...National Weather Service radar and surface
observations showed a band of moderate to locally heavy showers
and some thunderstorms from near Lake Charles, Louisiana, to the
ArkLaTex region. With the exception of a few lingering light
showers, the areas across southeast Texas with the most flooding
have not had much additional rainfall since last evening. For more
