...Rainfall impacts associated with the remnants of Imelda have
moved north, while locally heavy showers and thunderstorms
continue in parts of southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana...

Flash Flood Watches are in effect for portions of southeast Texas.
Flash Flood Warnings are in effect for far southeast Texas and far
southwest Louisiana. Flood Warnings are in effect from the Houston
metro area to portions of far southwest Louisiana.

At 1000 AM CDT...National Weather Service radar and surface
observations showed showers and thunderstorms associated with the
remnants of Imelda tracking across far northeast Texas, southwest
Oklahoma, and western Arkansas. While Imelda's remnants have
exited to the north a lingering feed of tropical moisture is
producing areas of heavy showers and thunderstorms in far
southeast Texas. Due to overly saturated surfaces and localized
flooding, additional flash flooding is possible in southeast Texas
this morning.

The remants of Imedla will advance north today causing showers and
thunderstorms to produce locally heavy rainfall amounts. Parts of
southern Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle may receive 1-2" of
rainfall with localized amounts up to 3" possible. The ongoing
shower and thunderstorm activity in southeast Texas and western
Louisiana is expected to taper off by this evening. For the latest
