...Extremely heavy rainfall ongoing as Imelda drifts over
southeast Texas...

Flash Flood Watches are in effect for portions of southeast Texas
and southwest Louisiana. Flash Flood Warnings and Emergencies are
in effect from the Houston metro area to far southwest Louisiana.
Flood Warnings are scattered across southeast Texas and southwest
Louisiana.

At 400 PM CDT...National Weather Service radar and surface
observations showed an area of extremely heavy rainfall associated
with Imelda across Houston's southern suburbs and along the Texas
southeast coast. Moderate to heavy rainfall was also impacting
locations southwest of Houston and western Louisiana. For more
