Approaches the Central Gulf Coast...

A Tornado Watch is in effect for portions of southwest Alabama and
southeast Mississippi until 11PM CDT.

Flash Flood Warnings are in effect for a couple locations in
southeast Mississippi and southwest Alabama. Localized Flood
Warnings and Advisories are also in effect in parts of Louisiana,
Mississippi, and Alabama.

Flash Flood Watches are in effect for southern and eastern
Louisiana, most of Mississippi, eastern Arkansas, western
Tennessee, far southeast Missouri, far southern Illinois, far
western Kentucky, and portions of eastern Oklahoma and western
Arkansas.

At 1000 PM EDT...National Weather Service radar and surface
observations show periods of rain are ongoing across the lower
Mississippi River Valley and extending north into the Tennessee
Valley. Periods of rain are also occurring in parts of northern
Texas and central Oklahoma. The heaviest rain bands are located
over western Alabama, southern Mississippi, and southeast
Louisiana. Below are preliminary rainfall observations associated

Post-Tropical Cyclone Olga will make landfall along the coast of
south central Louisiana overnight and race northeast through the
Lower Mississippi Valley Saturday morning. As Olga advances inland
so will its swath of heavy rainfall and the potential for flash
flooding during the day on Saturday. Olga's remnants will continue
to push north Saturday afternoon and evening into the
mid-Mississippi River Valley, Ohio Valley, and the Lower Great
