as Olga Strikes the Central Gulf Coast...

Flash Flood Warnings are in effect for portions of southeast
Louisiana. Localized Flood Warnings and Advisories are also in
effect in parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

Flash Flood Watches remain in effect for southern and eastern
Louisiana, most of Mississippi, eastern Arkansas, western
Tennessee, far southeast Missouri, far southern Illinois, far
western Kentucky, and portions of eastern Oklahoma and western
Arkansas.

At 400 AM EDT...National Weather Service radar and surface
observations show periods of rain are ongoing across the lower
Mississippi River Valley and extending north into the Tennessee
and Ohio Valleys. Periods of rain are also ongoing in parts of
central Oklahoma. The heaviest rain bands are located over
northwest Alabama and southeast Louisiana. Below are preliminary

Post-Tropical Cyclone Olga will track northeast through the Lower
Mississippi Valley this morning. As Olga advances inland so will
its swath of heavy rainfall and the potential for flash flooding
during the day on Saturday. Olga's remnants will continue to
advance north Saturday afternoon and evening into the
mid-Mississippi River Valley, Ohio Valley, and the Lower Great
