north into the Coastal Carolinas and Virginia...

At 1100 AM EDT...The center of Hurricane Ian was analyzed at 32.4N
79.0W, about 80 miles S of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. National
Weather Service Doppler Radar observed tropical rainfall primarily
north and west of Ian's center along a stationary boundary,
pushing into the coastal Carolinas and Virginia. Below are
preliminary rainfall and wind observations associated with
Hurricane Ian. Strong winds from Ian may have led to
under-reporting of rainfall in the areas of strongest winds. For
