over the Central Appalachians...

the East Coast from Florida to New Jersey.

At 1100 PM EDT...Post-Tropical Cyclone Ian continues to weaken
while lingering over the Mid-Atlantic region. National Weather
Service Doppler Radar observed rainfall north and west of Ian's
center. Heavy rainfall is mainly isolated to the Central
Appalachians and offshore over the Atlantic. Below are preliminary
rainfall and wind observations associated with Ian. Strong winds
from Ian may have led to under-reporting of rainfall in the areas
of strongest winds. For more information regarding the location
