...Winds and heavy rain increasing over the Florida Peninsula as
Hurricane Nicole is forecast to make landfall overnight... 

Flood Watches are in effect for portions of the Florida Peninsula.

Wind Advisories are in effect for inland portions of the Southeast.

At 900 PM EST...National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
that multiple bands of heavy rainfall were overspreading most of
central, western, and portions of South Florida. One band was
currently moving towards west Florida and the Lee Island Coast
while additional bands were impacting locations along the First,
Space, Treasure, and Gold Coasts as the center Hurricane Nicole
approached the region. The most widespread, heaviest rain was
currently located along portions of the Treasure and Gold Coasts.
In addition, surface observations indicated winds along the Space,
Treasure, and Gold Coasts were between 15 to 30 mph with gusts to
40 mph. Winds along the First coast were between 20 to 30 mph with
gusts to near 40 mph. Winds across most of the Peninsula were
between 10 to 20 mph with gusts to near 30 mph. For more
