...TROPICAL DEPRESSION ERIN DRIFTING NORTHWEST ACROSS THE HILL
COUNTRY OF WEST TEXAS ...  FLOODING THREAT PERSISTS AS SCATTERED
HEAVY RAINS AFFECT MUCH OF TEXAS...

FLASH FLOOD WATCHES ARE IN EFFECT FOR TEXAS FROM MUCH OF THE
COAST...WESTWARD THROUGH THE HILL COUNTRY AND INTO PORTIONS OF
WEST TEXAS. 

FLOOD WATCH AND FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF
CENTRAL TEXAS.

AT 400 PM CDT...2100 UTC...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION ERIN
WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 31.2 NORTH...LONGITUDE 101.8
WEST...ABOUT 55 MILES...90 KILOMETERS...SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF MIDLAND
TEXAS.

THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING NORTHWEST AT 13 MPH...15 KT...21 KM/H.
THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE DURING THE NEXT 12 TO
24 HOURS AS ERIN SLOWLY WEAKENS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 20 MPH...32 KM/HR...WITH A FEW
HIGHER GUSTS. THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS AROUND
1009 MB...29.79 INCHES.

A CLUSTER OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN CONTINUES TO MOVE
NORTHWESTWARD ABOUT THE CENTER OF ERIN WITH WIDESPREAD BUT
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MUCH OF THE REST OF
TEXAS...EXCEPT THE EXTREME SOUTH...WEST...AND NORTHWEST PANHANDLE.

NORTHWARD TOWARD THE TEXAS PANHANDLE.

ADDITIONAL RAIN ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
PORTIONS OF WESTERN TEXAS...WITH POSSIBLE ISOLATED MAXIMUM AMOUNTS
UP TO 8 INCHES ASSOCIATED WITH THE CENTER OF THE DEPRESSION. TO
THE SOUTH AND EAST OF THE SYSTEM...LOCALIZED AREAS COULD SEE
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WITH 2 TO 3 INCHES POSSIBLE.
