DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

AT 800 PM MST...0300 UTC...THE CENTER OF ODILE WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 31.3 NORTH...AND LONGITUDE 111.4 WEST. THE REMNANT
CIRCULATION CENTER OF ODILE IS EXPECTED TO WEAKEN WHILE MOVING
ACROSS NORTHERN MEXICO TONIGHT AND COULD REACH SOUTHEASTERN
ARIZONA BEFORE SUNRISE.  HEAVY RAINS ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS
OF ODILE HAVE BEEN FOCUSED ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE CIRCULATION. 
DURING THE PAST FEW HOURS...HEAVY DOWNPOURS HAVE BEEN
OVERSPREADING AREAS JUST TO THE SOUTHEAST OF TUCSON ARIZONA. 
HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE SPREADING EASTWARD INTO
SOUTHWESTERN NEW MEXICO AND EXTREME WESTERN TEXAS THROUGH TONIGHT.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 25 MPH...40 KM/H...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS.

MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1003 MB...29.62 INCHES.


HAZARDS

RAINFALL...MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF ODILE IS
EXPECTED TO PRODUCE RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES WITH
ISOLATED TOTALS OF 6 INCHES ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN ARIZONA...SOUTHERN
NEW MEXICO...EXTREME WESTERN TEXAS AND INTO THE TEXAS PANHANDLE
THROUGH SATURDAY.  THESE RAINS COULD RESULT IN LIFE-THREATENING
FLASH FLOODS AND MUDSLIDES...ESPECIALLY IN MOUNTAINOUS AREAS.
RESIDENTS ARE ADVISED TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO
MITIGATE POTENTIALLY LIFE-THREATENING SITUATIONS.
