...TROPICAL DEPRESSION ERIN DRIFTING FARTHER INTO TEXAS AND
CONTINUES TO WEAKEN...BUT THREAT OF HEAVY RAIN AND FLOODING
CONTINUES...

AT 400 AM CDT...0900 UTC...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION ERIN
WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 30.2 NORTH...LONGITUDE 100.3 WEST...JUST
NORTH OF ROCKSPRINGS TEXAS OR ABOUT 40 MILES SOUTHWEST OF JUNCTION
TEXAS.

A BAND OF HEAVY RAIN CONTINUES TO SPREAD NORTHWESTWARD TOWARDS
WEST TEXAS AHEAD OF THE CIRCULATION CENTER.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 15 MPH...20 KM/HR...WITH A FEW
HIGHER GUSTS.

ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS AROUND 1008 MB...29.77
INCHES.

FLOOD WATCHES AND WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF SOUTHWEST
INTO SOUTH-CENTRAL TEXAS. 

ERIN CONTINUES TO MOVE WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AROUND 17 MPH AND IS
EXPECTED TO BE LOCATED IN WEST TEXAS THROUGH FRIDAY. THE MAIN
THREAT FOR ORGANIZED HEAVY RAINFALL WILL SHIFT INTO WESTERN TEXAS
TODAY.

TOTAL RAIN ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 5 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
PORTIONS OF WESTERN TEXAS...WITH POSSIBLE ISOLATED MAXIMUM AMOUNTS
OF 7 INCHES.
