...Waning lake-effect snow downwind from the Great Lakes...
...Upper-level low moves over the Southwest...
A front lingers near the Gulf Coast through Friday evening as a weak front
tries to move inland over the West Coast. Upper-level energy moving across
the Great Lakes will produce lake-effect snow downwind of the lakes, which
will slowly wane by Friday evening.
Upper-level energy associated with an upper-level low will move onshore
over California and move to Northwestern Mexico by Friday. The system will
produce rain and higher-elevation snow over parts of California into the
Southwest through Thursday morning. Rain and higher elevation snow will
continue over the Great Basin through Friday.
Moisture will stream into the Southwest, producing light rain over the
Southwest and expanding into the Southern Rockies and Western Texas. By
Thursday afternoon, a front will begin moving onshore over the Pacific
Northwest and linger over the region through Friday evening. The system
will produce light rain and higher elevation snow over the Cascades.
